Experiential Codependency Group for Men and Women

Our relationships with our family of origin are the most powerful ones of our lives.  Our preceptions of the world around us and our relationships with others and ourselves are influenced by early experiences of shame, neglect, abandonment and abuse.  Unaddressed, these experiences continue to influence us throughout our lives.  This group provides each member the opportunity to identify their unmet needs and negative core beliefs from childhood and with loving support begin the process of addressing and healing the negative behavior patterns learned in childhood.
Group members work toward:
  • gaining awareness of family of origin and generational influences
  • identification, expression and appropriate use of feelings
  • balancing thought, feeling and action
  • improving communication skills in relationships
  • creating better, safer, healthier boundaries
  • gaining awareness of blocks to intimacy
  • connection with self and others

Expertial Women's Group

  • identifying self defeating behavior patterns
  • reducing shame and gaining self-respect
  • examining underlying core beliefs about ourselves, sex, relationships and gender roles
  • understanding how our family of origin relationships have formed and shaped how we feel in relationships today
  • learning to distinguish between healthy and unhealthy relationships
  • making choices and expanding options
  • rediscovering yourself
  • affirmation and forgiveness
